The winery dates back to 1978 and has grown to 50 planted acres(another 50 not yet planted) on three sites. The owners, John and Paul Nunes trace their heritage back eight generations on Aquidneck Island. The new Nunes farm site is a fourth generation family farm.

Our winemaker George Chelf has been at the helm since 1988 and now works with 14 different varietals, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Grigio, Vidal Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.Visitors can select any five wines to taste from among 28 different products, including sparkling and dessert wines.

Public tours are held seven days a week at 1 and 3 pm. They include a brief stop at the edge of the vineyard and a complete behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process. Visitors may select to taste wines either before or at the conclusion of the tour. Groups of ten or more may arrange for a private tour by calling ahead.
