Do you know what it is that you and your farm destination do best? Need Most? Will attract visitors and keep them coming back? How to address your challenges and limitations and turn them into assets and opportunities?
I want to help you run a successful and profitable farm destination. So let me recommend that you consider a FarmWays Farm Site Assessment. Why?
There isn’t a farm operator that I’ve met who didn’t think their farm was a special place. And I would have to agree, being a lover of farm lands and foodscapes throughout my life.
But in my experience, many farm operators simply do not see everything they need to see to make their farm destination successful.
Not every farm, of course, is a destination for the public. Many larger production farms, some nurseries and even many small-scale family farms are not set up to host visitors but instead happily provide farm operators the joys of farming without the interference that people can bring.
On the other hand, those farms that are or could be engaged in “agritourism” in its many forms have special features and assets that make the farm experience unique and attractive to others. And agritourism can provide that much desired additional income that production agriculture alone cannot.
Whether you’re starting out, seeking to expand, or simply need a fresh set of eyes to look at your existing operation, I can promise a cost effective process to help you identify and/or customize your revenue-generating products, activities and amenities and the resources you’ll need to get you where you’re going.
Unlike web-based and other self-assessments, our FarmWays Site Assessment will be hands-on and face to face to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit from our collaboration.
Farm Site Assessments are available right now for just $500 and include the following:
1. A first visit to your farm, orchard, vineyard or nature site to conduct a walkabout, take photos, complete a backgrounder and questionnaire
2. Initial recommendations
3. A second round of questions based on your comments and responses to the initial assessment.
4. Final recommendations and a follow-up visit
5. Unlimited troubleshooting - at no extra cost - until Dec. 31, 2010
Timeline from first visit to final recommendations: 10-14 days.
